A lifelong resident of Lafayette, LA., Paul studied Mechanical Engineering for four years at LSU in Baton Rouge, and returned to Lafayette and worked in the family business while finishing his college degree. Paul graduated from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (presently ULL) with a degree from the College of General Studies.
Paul has been married to Jo Lynne Sedita of Baton Rouge for 36 years and together have two grown children.
Paul worked in the family business (AGI Industries formally Al George, Inc.) beginning at the age of 11. While in college, he spent holidays and semester breaks working at AGI as a mechanic in the hydraulic and pump repair department. During this time, Paul spent one semester working for an independent oil & gas company as a roughneck and roustabout. After leaving LSU in 1980, Paul continued as a mechanic until 1982 where he moved into inside sales and project quoting. In 1985, Paul began his career with Sidewinder Pumps, Inc. becoming the Production Coordinator. Upon the separation of AGI Industries and Sidewinder Pumps, Inc., Paul became the General Manager and Vice President of Sidewinder Pumps, Inc.
In 2010, Paul and his brother David bought Sidewinder Pumps, Inc. from their family at which time Paul became President of the corporation.
As President of Sidewinder Pumps, Inc., Paul oversees design and engineering concerns including new product development. He also handles the finances of the business.
